Nothing worse than a breakup the day before Valentine's day. Well, in this case it's really not that big of a deal.
The Phillies and right-handed reliever Juan Cruz have cancelled their agreement on a minor league contract according to MLB.com's Todd Zolecki.
Cruz felt that his chances of earning a spot in the Phillies' bullpen were very slim once the team brought back Chad Durbin reports Zolecki.
Cruz has been granted free agency effective immediately. He never showed to Phillies camp.
