Polanco begins rehab assignment

Third baseman Placido Polanco is expected to begin his rehab assignment on Wednesday according to PhilliesNation.com

The blog reports that Polanco started hitting again late last week after being out with lower back inflamation.

Polanco could be back on the Phillies' roster on Saturday, but with fill-in Kevin Frandsen hitting a .326 while Polanco has been out, there is no rush right now.
